Loek obtained his bachelor in psychobiology at the UvA, followed by a master’s in Neuroscience & Cognition at the UU. He did research at the VU at the department of Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology where he investigated the role of basic leucine zipper transcription factors in neuronal plasticity. He is currently contributing to the SynGO consortium, investigating protein-protein interactions in the synapse.
