Personal information

I am an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Candidate Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute, Amsterdam. In addition, I am currently an Academic Visitor at the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as well as master degrees from the Barcelona School of Economics and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Research

My research concerns time series econometrics, forecasting, machine learning, macroeconometrics and empirical macroeconomics.

Teaching

I teach the courses “Data Structures & Algorithms” and “Data Science Project” in the Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research, as well as “Data Science” in the International MBA and “Data Science for Executives” in the Executive MBA at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In addition, I teach a summer school on “Foundations of Machine Learning with Applications in Python” in the Business Data Science program at the Tinbergen Institute.
