Personal profile

Personal information

I studied early modern history at the University of Groningen, after which I pursued a career in heritage information management. At several national institutions, Naturalis Biodiversity Center, the Rijksmuseum and the KB National Library of the Netherlands, I worked as an information specialist, project developer and manager of teams tasked with sustainable management and dissemination of the data, information and knowledge derived from heritage collections. Passionate about open data and knowledge, I developed and delivered various projects aimed at making heritage collections open and FAIR for various target audiences, often in collaboration with researchers both from the Netherlands and abroad.

At the VU, I work as a researcher and information specialist on the StoRe project, aiming to advance FAIR archiving and reusability of digital oral history interviews from the academia, museums and community archives.
