Marc Schauten (1966) is an associate professor in finance at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and lecturer at the Mondriaan Onderwijsgroep in Delft (former Tinbergen Economie). Previously he held several positions in education and business. He was an assistant professor in finance at the Erasmus School of Economics, Director of the Erasmus Center for Financial Training and business analyst for De Nationale Investeringsbank N.V. in The Hague. Marc Schauten is a popular lecturer and is often invited as a lecturer for courses in Corporate Finance by third parties. Marc Schauten holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the Erasmus University and publishes in journals as European Financial Management, Managerial Finance, Journal of Financial Decision Making, Journal of Empricial Finance and Corporate Reputation Review.
