Martijn Vos is a PhD candidate at the Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is using political philosophy, particularly agonism and deliberative democracy, as a theoretical lens to investigate Public Engagement with Science and Technology (PEST) initiatives in response to societal polarisation. One of his case studies is the Theatre Dialogues of Dissent project, which experiments with a new agonistic PEST method in which conflict is explored through various theatrical methods.
