Personal profile

Personal information

I'm an assistant professor in urban economics and focussed on the role of geography on inequality between areas and societal groups. My Ph.D. thesis focussed on the relation between spatial inequality and the changing role of economies of agglomeration due to technological progress, globalization and economic crises. More recently, I'm working on regional labour markets, social mobility, social infrastructure and neighbourhood effects. I also take interest in theoretical issues by analyzing wide-held assumptions in the field and the limitations these pose to understand the real-world complexity of the problems we're interested in.
