Personal profile
Personal information
Max Mulhuijzen is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Department of Management and Organisation of the VU Amsterdam. He obtained his PhD from the Utrecht University School of Economics (2023).
Research
He studies innovations coming from sources not accounted for by the more traditional academic literature—e.g., employees who innovate under the radar of management or citizens. With a background in economics, he is using a diverse set of methods to study the resources and motivations permitting the development of innovations by these unexpected sources, how such innovations can inspire opportunities for entrepreneurship, and the interactions between innovating citizens and firms.
