Personal information

Prof. dr. Meindert Flikkema (1971) has obtained a master's degree in Econometrics from the Rijks Universiteit Groningen, a PhD in Economics and a post-master's degree in Management Consulting (with honors), both from the VU Amsterdam. He was appointed assistant professor in the Department of Management and Organization in 2003 and associate professor in 2009, after a career start in management consulting.

Research

He is involved in research on Managing Service Innovation, Servitization and the Economics of Intellectual Property Rights.

Teaching

He teaches the course Growth Strategies & Organizational Challenges in the Business Administration master, specialization Strategy & Organization.

Prizes and Awards

Threefold winner of the Best Teacher Award in the School of Business and Economics and first winner of the Van der Duijn-Schouten Education award for the best senior lecturer of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2015.
