Nathalie Denie is a PhD-candidate at the Criminal Law and Criminology department, Faculty of Law. She obtained her BSc in Criminology at Leiden University and her MSc in Investigative Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the mechanisms and opportunity structures through which youths get involved in, develop a criminal career in, and desist from organized crime and organized crime networks. Her research is part of the EPIC-project (Explaining, Preventing, and Intervening in organized Crime involvement).
