Nina is a PhD Candidate in Political Science, researching the role of narratives in the ongoing military and defense transformation in Sweden and the Netherlands. In a time when the countries’ armed forces are moving away from a focus on missions abroad to territorial defense and national preparedness, she studies how official narratives regarding security, military, and defense reforms are evolving, and how these narratives resonate with the public.

Her background is in Peace and Conflict studies, with a focus on the Former Yugoslavia. She obtained a master's degree in Conflict Studies & Human Rights, and a bachelor's degree in Peace and Development Studies.
