I am a PhD candidate interested in the communicative process of alignment (also known as interpersonal coordination) in teacher-student interaction. I study this phenomenon at a linguistic and non-linguistic level during tutoring sessions. My research project "From lexical entrainment to interpersonal coordination: A study on synchronization within educational settings" is supervised by prof. dr. Alan Cienki (VU Amsterdam), prof. dr. Geert Brône (KU Leuven) and dr. Bert Oben (KU Leuven).
In the past, I have taught the course "the Power of Metaphor" for the MA in Communication and Information Studies (track: Multimodal Communication).
