Personal information

I am a professor of organization, entrepreneurship and technology in the Faculties of Science (Science, Business & Innovation)and the Faculty of Social Science (Department of Organization Sciences) at the VU University Amsterdam. My emphasis in research on entrepreneurship, university-industry interaction and knowledge valorization.

Before this I was associate professor at the VU Amsterdam in the Department or Organization Sciences, and senior researcher and staff member of the Dutch Institute for Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship (Nikos) at the University of Twente (Enschede, NL). In the period 2002 - 2008 I was Visiting professor of entrepreneurship at the Ulster Business School at the University of Ulster. I held (2003 – 2007) a chair (as “lector”) in Knowledge Innovative Entrepreneurship at the Saxion University for Applied Sciences (Enschede, NL). In the period July 2014 till May 2015 I also was the Educational director of the BCO Master programme. Since March 2017 I am Educational director of the SBI Master programme.
