Renske de Beijer obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Life Sciences (cum laude) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2013. In 2016, she obtained her Master’s degree in Forensic Science (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she performed internships at the department of Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology (VUmc) and at the Biomedical Engineering and Physics department of the AMC. Besides, she was an intern at the Educational Department of Artis Royal Zoo, as part of her extra-curricular courses of the Master Science Education and Communication at Utrecht University.
After graduating, Renske started working as lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she is teaching in all first year courses of the Bachelor Health and Life Sciences (Gezondheid en Leven). Besides her work as lecturer, she is working at the interdisciplinary research institute AIMMS (Amsterdam Institute for Molecules, Medicines and Systems), where she is involved in the PR and communicational activities of the institute.
