dr. Reza Mousavi Baygi is an assistant professor at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam.
Reza's research explores the role of digital technologies in transforming work, organising, and activism.
These days, he is studying platform-based AI-powered forms of work and their implications for future of work and organising. In a current project, he explores the (trans)formation of work conditions and career dynamics on online labour platforms (aka the gig economy).
He approaches these topics through practice and process philosophy perspectives with a special focus on the role of temporality and attention in human-technology relations.
His recent work on flow has appeared in MIS Quarterly.
