Rieneke Stelma-Roorda studied Law (LLM, 2015) at VU University Amsterdam, Children’s Rights (MSc, 2016) at Queen’s University Belfast and Legal Research (LLM, 2017) at the University of Groningen. After working as junior researcher and lecturer at VU University, she joined the VU as a PhD candidate in February 2017. Rieneke’s research concerns the living will, a document in which provisions can be made with a view to a later period of incapacity. The research project focuses on the practice of the living will in the Netherlands and other European countries, problems that may arise and solutions for these problems based on best practices.
