I am a junior teacher at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I have completed both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Earth Science and Economics. These studies combine the disciplines of earth science and spatial & environmental economics. For my master thesis I did fieldwork in Aruba to assess cultural ecosystem services (CES) and the willingness to pay for environmental management by doing house-hold surveys. In between studies I travelled through Central America and saw the(negative) impact of human activities. This has motivated me to become a teacher. I did another master’s programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam to become a certified teacher of Geography.
As a junior teacher I can combine my passion for teaching with my interest in environmental studies.
Teaching, sustainability, climate change, ecosystem services.
