Personal information

Sacha den Nijs is currently a PhD Candidate at the Spatial Economics department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute. She is studying the regional economic effects of decarbonisation, focusing on the required investments in new technologies and labour market effects. Her supervisors are Prof. Dr. Henri de Groot, Dr. Gerard van der Meijden and external supervisor Dr. Olga Ivanova (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency/Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving). In addition to writing her PhD thesis, she is working as a guest researcher at the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency/Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving.

Teaching

Besides supervision of students in the STREEM or Economics master programme, Sacha is assisting in several courses:
