Personal information

Samet is a PhD candidate at the VU Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Iman van Lelyveld and Dr. Gunseli Tumer-Alkan. He obtained his MPhil degree from the Tinbergen Institute (2019). Previously, he worked at the Central Bank of Turkey (2014-2017) and at the Ministry of Economy of Turkey (2012-2014). His research interest focuses on banking, particularly, on financial stability, systemic risk and currency risk in the banking system.
