Saskia Oostdijk is a Junior Researcher at the department of Environmental Geography of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). In collaboration with the Interamerican Development Bank, she assesses how future socio-economic development could impact the provision of ecosystem services in several South American countries, by applying the Dyna-CLUE model.
Saskia completed a Master of Science in Sustainable Development and a Bachelor of Science in Global Sustainability Science from Utrecht University. For her master thesis she assessed deforestation and forest fragmentation in Southwestern Ethiopia from 1973 until 2019 using remote sensing.
