Sebastiaan Hellemons is a lecturer at the department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He teaches in various courses in the international bachelor program Law in Society and the Dutch bachelor program Rechtsgeleerdheid (Law). Besides teaching, he is also active as a researcher. His research interest mainly focuses on protection against discrimination by means of criminal law.
