Tim Busker is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the department of Water and Climate Risk at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Tim has a background in flood and drought risk management, and is experienced with remote sensing and forecasting techniques. During his PhD research, Tim further specialized in early-warning systems and anticipatory action for floods and droughts. As part of the JCAR-ATRACE project, Tim now investigates the flood early-warning systems of the Netherlands and neighboring countries. Moreover, Tim works on flood modelling as part of a large team within the department.
