Personal profile
Personal information
I am a PhD candidate in the Moral and Political Philosophy group at VU Amsterdam. Before starting at the VU, I obtained master's degrees in Neurosciences (cum laude) and Philosophy of Neuroscience (cum laude). My current research focuses on neuroethics, specifically the ethics of applying neurotechnologies within the criminal justice system to prevent recidivism.
My research is embedded in the Vici-project titled 'Targeting the offender's brain: A unified normative framework for the evaluation of neurotechniques in criminal justice,' led by prof. dr. Gerben Meynen, which combines ethical and legal perspectives in the investigation of neurotechnologies in criminal justice. For more information on the project see https://lenc.sites.uu.nl/.
