Wim Huisman (1970) is a professor of criminology and the head of the VU School of Criminology. Currently, Wim Huisman is Co-editor in chief of Crime, Law & Social Change. Wim Huisman is founder and in 2010-2025 served as board member of the European Working Group on Organizational Crime (EUROC) of the European Society of Criminology. 2020-2022, Wim was co-chair of the ASC Division of White-Collar and Corporate Crime.
The research focus of Wim Huisman is on the field of white-collar crime, corporate crime, and organised crime. Recently funded research projects focus on criminal careers of white-collar offenders, corporate complicity to gross human rights violations, causes of corruption, corporate environmental crime and the prevention of food fraud.
Wim Huisman has been a visiting professor at Griffith University, Brisbane, Northeastern University, Boston, USA, and Mekelle University, Ethiopia.
