Research
PhD project (2017 - today) on dealing with risk in integrated primary care for frail elderly. In the Netherlands, an increasing group elderly are described as 'frail': they are described to run various health and/or social risks at the same time. By integrating knowledge, expertise and capacity of care practitioners from different disciplines and domains, it is thought that these risks can be 'managed' by means of proactive and preventive interventions. I study how patients, care practitioners and policy makers jointly shape this integrated care practice, given their differences in role, knowledge, expertise and interests which complicate integration. To this end, I use qualitative research methods, focusing on power and narratives.
