Description
During my PhD i joined Smiddy Nieuwenhuis in her research on the relationship of theory of intelligence (TOI; also referred to as mindset) and autnonomic nervous system activity. In het papers we investigated this relationship in a laboratory setting using a mental arrithmetic task. I am continuing my study into this relationship with the use of an ecolgoical valid stressors in the daily life of students: an exam. By combining questionnaire data on state mental health & TOI, emotion dynamics through ecological momentary assesment, and physiological dynamics collected though wearables I want to investigate if TOI is associated with differences in emotional and physiological dynamics in the weeks surrounding the exam.
