Project Details
Description
A World Bank funded project to develop a national GIS-Based cultural landscape database for large infrastructure planning and development in Bhutan. While many (inter)national organisations have undertaken efforts to gather data on the spatial distribution of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, an easily accessible and visually appealing overview of such data is currently unavailable. Together with Thomas Warnaar - a newly appointed research assistant - Eric and Eduardo will develop a national GIS-based cultural heritage database and try to develop methods to map the less tangible aspects of cultural heritage associated with Bhutan’s impressive landscapes.
