Description
Cybercrime is a complex phenomenon that increased significantly in recent years. Despite multiple disciplines addressing this issue, there is almost no co-creation of knowledge and knowledge remains inadequately shared and integrated, limiting the full utilization of insights. This exploratory research examines hacking from a socio-technical perspective with the objective of enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration between cyber-criminology and cybersecurity. Through an empirical case study employing affordance theory, this research bridges methodologies – technical monitoring from cybersecurity with behavioral and motivational analysis from cyber-criminology. This methodological integration aims to develop a framework that advances both disciplines and produces more comprehensive solutions to cybercrime challenges.
