Description
In this collaborative project - financially supported by the KNAW Sara van Dam research grant - between Dutch (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Section Developmental Psychology) and Israeli (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Dept. Psychology) research teams, we aim to study a) whether (evidence-based) interventions aimed at improving children’s relationships with teachers and peers can decrease stress and stress-related problems in early elementary school children, and b) whether this beneficial intervention effect is most profound for children living in a highly stressful environment, that is, in close proximity to the Gaza strip
