Project Details
Description
To mitigate the destabilization of the Earth’s climate and ecology, governments, businesses, civil society and researchers aim to transform the linear economy into the circular economy. While the technical cycle of circularity is amply investigated, less is known about the social side. The ambition of this research proposal is to develop scientific insights in the social side of the circular economy, to accelerate the transition towards circularity in a way that is socially just. The focus is on the construction industry, as one of the most polluting but also most promising industries in terms of circular and social gains.
