Project Details
Description
This group aims to explore how climate change and environmental degradation influence patterns of human movement and migration, and how these processes are organized—or disorganized—by policies, institutions, and social structures. We seek to address questions such as: What are the power struggles? What mechanisms of resistance and resilience emerge? How do individuals, communities, and societies adapt and thrive? The term “(Des) Organising” implies a critical perspective: examining both the coordination and fragmentation of responses to climate-induced mobility, including governance, humanitarian action, and community strategies. It also invites us not to take anything for granted and to (de) centre taken-for-granted assumptions and ideas.
