Sustainable for Students, Staff, Society: A Comparative Pilot Study for Incorporating Inclusive Sustainability Transitions in Arts & Humanities Curricula

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The aim of this pilot is to contribute to the future-proofing of the BA Media, Art, Design, and Architecture (MKDA, FGW) curriculum for students, staff and society. We are currently facing two specific challenges: Firstly, our significantly increased student numbers, as the BA is now offered bilingually (NL-EN). This increase creates challenges related to the organisation of the programme and the didactical approach to teaching larger groups and connecting with a more diverse, international student body. Secondly, we want to contribute to anchor sustainability within the curriculum. Our pilot will develop and compare two BA courses (Creative Ecologies and Mediating Environments) to determine the most important factors to tackle these challenges.
