Abstract

How can educators make digital learning inclusive? And how can they use technology to make their education more inclusive?

Digital learning environments bring their own unique challenges and opportunities in relation to inclusion. The specificity of offline and online learning calls for course designs that employ offline and/or online learning methods in deliberate ways, so their education is accessible and engaging to every student, regardless of their background, identity or disability.

This handbook describes these specific challenges and opportunities (based on the developed I-TPACK model) and explains how to facilitate inclusive digital learning environments. This results in six concrete guidelines and practical examples that support teachers to make their online, blended and hybrid courses more inclusive
