It has been my pleasure to be involved in this Alternative Political Conversation, so nicely shepherded by Harold Heie, for whom I have the deepest respect and gratitude.
I believe the results you have seen in the foregoing pages reveal what is possible when thoughtful people engage in “respectful conversation” along the lines attempted in this effort. The results so far transcend our smash-mouth politics in Congress, talk radio, and niche politico-entertainment TV that it is hard to believe we are all engaged in the same enterprise.
