Abstract
How does AI impact the future of work? Provocative commentators increasingly speculate whether the expertise of highly educated professionals will even be needed in the future. In this roundtable, we will reflect on the current promises and limits of using AI for expert decision-making. We will discuss the differences between human and AI judgement, and how AI may alter the role of experts in organizations and society. We will support this by using insights from our ongoing research project focused on the use of AI for recruitment and selection purposes.
