Editing the Peshitta Old Testament: From the Nineteenth Century until Today

Abstract

The nineteenth and twentieth centuries have seen a number of editions of the Old Testament in Syriac according to the Peshitta version. However, there were also several other plans for editions and aborted projects. This paper discusses those endeavours as well as the edition and translation projects now underway.
