Abstract
Organisational cultures are relentless, difficult to change and appear to have a great impact on the attitude of organisations towards geo-information. In this article, the Cadastre and the Department of Public Works, two dominant organisations in the Dutch geo-information sector, are being reviewed based on a theory of organisational cultures to investigate the relation between organisational cultures and the use of geoinformation. The results are linked to the problems to establish a National Geographic Information Infrastructure.
