Abstract

If standard neo-Darwinian accounts of the theory of biological evolution are by and large correct, what does this imply for the content of the Christian faith? This book examines six fields of tension in this connection and concludes that some adjustments are needed, esp. in terms of traditional forms of biblical exegesis that have to be abandoned. In general, however, Christian theology is sufficiently robust and flexible to deal adequately with the challenges of the modern neo-Darwinian synthesis.
