Abstract
Many important (economic) decisions involve risk. At the same time every decision is made within a social context. So far (experimental) research studies these two aspects in isolation from each other. Jona Linde therefore combines existing experimental protocols to examine the influence of social considerations on peoples’ willingness to take risks. Existing theories or logical extensions of these theories, do not predict the behavior observed in these experiments. New theory formation is therefore required.
In addition Jona studies the kind of strategies people use to play the so-called minority game and the influence of libertarian paternalistic policies on the way people make decisions.
