Gebruik scenario’s Centraal Planbureau actief in beleid

De recente scenariostudie van het Centraal Planbureau (CPB) biedt een langetermijnperspectief voor ons land tot 2050, waarbij de politiek de keuze heeft uit vier verschillende toekomsten. Deze scenariostudie kan beleidsmakers helpen bij het concretiseren van het langetermijnbeleid. Hiervoor is een goede inbedding van de scenario's en de daarin vervatte politieke keuzes in de beleidsvoorbereiding noodzakelijk. Dit artikel schetst hoe deze CPB-scenario's kunnen bijdragen aan het beoordelen van de politieke voorkeuren tussen verschillende beleidsdoelen en daarmee aan de vormgeving van het langetermijnbeleid van de overheid.

The recent scenario study by the CPB offers a long-term perspective for our country up to 2050, in which politics has a choice of 4 different futures. This scenario study can help policymakers to concretize long-term policy. To this end, a good embedding of the scenarios and the political choices contained therein in the policy preparation is necessary. This article outlines how these CPB scenarios can contribute to assess the political preferences between various policy goals and thus to the design of the government's long-term policy.
