Abstract
Put 4-5 year olds together with lenses, or mirrors, or magnets, or sand, or water, or construction materials and they will play and investigate. They will experience properties of materials and develop vocabulary. The article describes the experiences of Sirius schools in Amsterdam with the "kleuterlab".
