Abstract

The infrared spectra of isolated reactive species in the gas phase are studied by IR/UV ion-dip spectroscopy. The IR-spectrum of the free allyl radical is observed. The pyrolysis of trifluoromethylphenyl diazirine yields, beside the corresponding carbene, trifluorostyrene as the major product (see figure).
