Abstract
The price of longlasting fights between divorcing couples in which their children suffer immeasurable pain is too high. Since 2015 there have been plans afoot to improve the divorce procedure. These plans involve significant reduction of the role of advocates. However these plans are based on misconceptions. The instances which would replace the role of advocates are not able to rise to the task. Moreover the value of partisan advocates to the parties concerned is underestimated.
