Looking at Law Differently

T.R. Bleeker, Rutger Fransen

Research output: Chapter in Book / Report / Conference proceedingChapterAcademic

Abstract

Bleeker and Fransen critically reflect on the scope of the legal debate and role of the law itself by using a multidisciplinary approach consisting of two different perspectives upon the same ‘object’: the Dutch Shell Nigeria cases. One perspective is the social-theoretical perspective of the risk society and the other concerns the theory of global justice as espoused by Thomas Pogge.
