Abstract

In the last two decades, labour history has shown a significant growth and expansion in Argentina, in tune with the development that the field currently shows in various countries of Latin America and the so-called Global South (and to a large extent in contrast with what happens in Europe and the United States). This recent literature is directly linked to the professional and academic work, developed in university and scientific institutions in different regions of the country. It can be said that the academic history of the working classes has perhaps gone through its years of greater productivity and consolidation. This article offers an overview of the history of labour elaborated in Argentina with respect to the period of the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth.
