Abstract
This is an attempt to answer the question how protestant churches in the Netherlands (and beyond) could re-establish union with the Roman Catholic Church in a way that does justice to the integrity of both traditions. It does so by applying the Fries/Rahner solution of the 1980s (with respect to Eastern churches in communion with Rome) to the Dutch protestant (and in particular Reformed) tradition.
