    Abstract

    This contribution focuses on a field of research in which the notion of ultimate reality plays an important role, the field of comparative Buddhist-Christian mysticism. It first briefly addresses the past and present state of the field, and then moves on to some possible new horizons for the future, and the consequences of such new approaches for our understanding of ultimate reality.
