Abstract
Medical prisoner functionaries sometimes were no professionals. Both real and fake doctors and nurses often had to make moral compromises. This chapter discusses the nature of these compromises and how the survivors evaluate them in hindsight. It turns out that the medical professionals struggle more with their actions than those who pretended to be medics.
