Abstract

The policy discussions on purchasing power repair at the current high energy prices show that the regulation of the energy markets needs improvement. This article advocates the establishment of a market with a dynamic electricity price. This is a price of electricity that varies per hour and depends on supply and demand at that time and not on the price of gas. So a high price when there is a lot of demand and little supply – at night and in dark, cold and windless weather – and a low price when there is a lot of supply, during sunny hours and periods with a lot of wind. It is up to the government to promote that such contracts are offered and that consumers can spread their energy demand at the lowest possible cost via built-in optimization software.
