Abstract

The concept of the semantic web application and the challenge of using the semantic web techniques to build an online application that deduces, combines, and integrates information are discussed. The application must use information sources that are heterogeneous and geographically distributed, and must use some formal description of the data's meaning. Several submitted applications uses ready made RSS feeds from web logs and new sites, extracted data from HTML pages and interpretation of existing databases. As observed, several semantic web applications already exist but some of them require manual translation of data.
