SMEFT analysis of the electroweak sector: challenges beyond dimension 6

Abstract

In these proceedings we present the latest developments in our effort to include vector boson scattering (VBS) measurements into global SMEFT fits of LHC data. We present some updates to our initial study of arXiv:2101.03180 as well as comment on a possible roadmap for the inclusion of higher orders beyond dimension 6 in the SMEFT and on the interpretation of VBS data in other EFT frameworks.
